What is our Nutritional Stress Analysis?

How the human body reacts to food when it is digested can give us a clear data point for us to analyse.

In this analysis, our main area of focus is glucose. Glucose comes from the Greek word for "sweet." It's a type of sugar you get from foods you eat, and your body uses it for energy. As it travels through your bloodstream to your cells, it's called blood glucose or blood sugar.

During the stress response, glucose is released into the bloodstream to act as a fuel to fight, flight or freeze. By analysing the amount of glucose in the blood, we can interpret the body’s physiological state. We can also see the potential of excessive body fat gain due to insulin resistance.

What an individual eats can also trigger the body to release excess glucose into the blood. This means excess stress and excess fat.

Two human beings may not process food in the same way; meaning the same meal could have no effect for one person, but for another person, it could cause the body to go into a pre-diabetic state, elevating their blood sugar levels above normal parameters. This coaching allows us to receive and analyse those insights and make data-led decisions on your nutrition.

Tracy Kiss, an entrepreneur, full time mum and self confessed stress-head:

“I would say that it’s very beneficial for people - just like me - school mums, stress-heads, multitaskers etc who have a lot on their plate and need to focus on cutting stress to avoid over eating or losing out on sleep. It’s great to be able to measure progress and find peace. “
